Randy Kissoondath came to the United States from Trinidad and Tobago in the 1970s with an entrepreneurial spirit and a talent for making things work. He found his niche in custom seating and interior furnishings, earning a following among designers, architects and builders.
From a pencil behind the ear to rooms across the country.
Randy's work was handmade, practical and lasting. Local projects included Mancini's Char House, Nye's and O'Gara's, while larger customers came to trust his eye and the durability of the finished work.
When the business returned in 2006, Randy recruited his son Bert. Bert learned it from the ground up: sweeping the shop, building frames, loading trucks and delivering finished pieces.
Carrying it forward.
After Randy's death in 2009, Bert kept the business moving with the values his father had taught him. The company has grown its Crystal, Minnesota home into a place for design, manufacturing, storage and a commercial showroom.
Today, the team continues to make custom pieces for restaurants, lounges, healthcare, corporate and residential spaces nationwide. In 2018, the U.S. Small Business Administration named Randy's Booth Company Minnesota Family-Owned Business of the Year.
